Before and After

I guess once the boys have their full summer haircuts it's official.........summer is really here. Aidan was ready to get rid of his mohawk last week but Ryan wasn't quite ready to let it go. I asked him over the weekend if he'd be ready to cut it off before we go see The Loftus Family and he said "Sure Mom, we can shave my head before we go." Such a sweetie. Monday night I asked and he said are we going to see Alice Anne now? I said no, not yet but in a couple of days. Okay Mom, you can cut it off now! Sooo, Summer is here and the boys have the buzz cuts to prove it lol.

After:

aaand, just because I love this picture of the three of them. I love how well my kiddos get along! This picture really is how things are between them 99% of the time. Yes, they fight, hello? What brother / sister doesn't? But for the most part they are really good to one another. I hope it stays this way forever.

Busted

So, the other day, I check my camera. There are all of these random shots. Computer screen, the carpet, pillows, the dogs leg. LOL.

Then I see these pictures:

I asked Ryan if he was taking pictures with my camera. He said no. And started giggling. So cute. Very hard to be mad at him when he is giggling like a school girl. LMAO. Um, you're busted little boy.

I don't know where he learned the self potrait thing from. *blush*
Maybe from me? I'm not sure........maybe..........probably......okay, YES, from me.

I will put this out there......in writing........I, Christine Foley, actually LIKE the above picture of myself. Yes, I said it. I like it. I think it's not half bad. Pick yourselves up off the floor now and carry on with your day.......night......morning........wherever you happen to be when you read this. If you read it. ;o)

Camping

We had SUCH a great weekend. Camping again. I ended up taking a half day on Thursday so we could all go early. Otherwise I would have been there at 6-630p and John would have already been gone for inservice. That was probably the only bad part about this particular weekend. John was gone Thurs and Friday night from 530p - 11p and then again on Saturday from 6a - 3p. Kind of a crappy weekend for him. The rest of us had a blast though lol. We spent all day Friday and Saturday at the pool - the weather was absolutely perfect. The kids are sooooo brown now! Kellie and family, Janet and Cathe, Jay and family were all with us this weekend. SUCH a good time. We're still trying to schedule some more weekends at N. Farms but, even if we can't, we'll probably go visit. Kellie and the family are there for the next SEVEN weeks. Yep, seven weeks. So, if we can't get in, we'll just go down and spend the day at the pool with them.

Going to call Canoe River today to get in there as well. New place, never been, but has a lot of activities and seems to be very similar to N. Farms - just a LOT cheaper. Janet is camping there for the whole month of July so we're going to give it a shot. Steph, I'll keep you updated!!

Here are just a couple of pics from this weekend. I was bad with the camera - didn't take nearly as many pictures as I planned on!
Cuddling on the couch before we hit the pool
Taking a quick break from the pool
Part of the family from Memorial Day Weekend
The Moms taking a quick hot tub break. (not hot really, it was only 90 degrees lol)

Where've we been?!

Why it's so hard to just stay up to date on here - I have no idea. I guess I just don't really think anyone wants to sit around reading about my not-so-exciting life. I won't blog about problems because, really, who *doesn't* have their share of problems right now? All we can do is keep chugging along and praying everything works out soon.

We're having a good spring / summer aside from the not so good. We had our first (and second lol) camping trip of the season and we are heading out again Thursday. (night for me after I get off of work) The kids LOVE going camping and we've been having so much fun. We typically stick to Normandy Farms. It's a fantastic campground. VERY kid oriented, extremely clean, three pools, fishing pond, baseball fields, it's big and it's got full hook up's which makes John happy b/c now he won't go anywhere that doesn't. The only thing is it's a little pricey so we can't go as often as we'd like. However. I just found out about a place in Mansfield that John's cousin goes to and she said it's half the price of Normandy with all of the same amenities so I think I'm going to look into it. We'll at least give it a shot for a weekend and see how we like it! We'd really like to go as much as possible and enjoy our camper. We just found out that some friends of ours (yes, I mean you Steph lol)

These are some pics from Normandy Farms. Basically the pool lol. I'll try and get some more pictures of other things this weekend.

My bathing beauty

Another pasttime, for the boys anyway, is fishing. They LOVE it. John took them this past Saturday morning and they had SO much fun. Came home with a boat full of fish. Well, 10 fish to be exact but this is impressive b/c NONE of them were John's lol. Only Aidan and Ryan caught the fish. Ryan was SO excited b/c he caught a 2lb, 12oz large mouth Bass all on his own!! He was SO proud. He called Papa and Auntie Kellie to come see and he wouldn't let John get rid of them until he got to show Uncle Ronny and Uncle Boo Saturday night when they came over. So stinking cute. Oh, when I say "get rid of" I mean John took them to the pond behind Kellie's house and let them go back there. So the fish are alive and well, just swimming in a new pond now.

This upcoming weekend is Father's Day weekend. I already mentioned we are camping. I have to take the boys out to buy something for John. I decided I'm going to let THEM pick out whatever they want. Even if it's silly - it's from their hearts and I think that makes all the difference. I took Erynn to a local pottery shop for her gift. They had a "Little Lady Day" where they had the girls come in their party dresses, they had munchkins and juice, they got to paint a piece of pottery for their Dad (Erynn chose a mug) and then they got manicures. Erynn, surprisingly, didn't want a manicure but she had fun painting her mug. I can't wait for her to give it to her Daddy.

Better late than never

I can't believe I'm so far behind...again. I always have good intentions when it comes to this blog. I swear it.
Ryan turned four on May 26th so I'm giving him his very own entry. I don't know where the last four years have gone. Ryan is still coming into his own I think. Darlene (DC) says she can't believe how smiley he is at dc and wonders if he EVER has a bad day. Oh yes, not to worry there, he has his moments for sure!! If he is woken up the wrong way.....watch out. Hence his nickname, Bear. Even Erynn calls him Bear sometimes, it's so cute. But, really, for the most part he really is a sweet kid. He is very affectionate, very happy go lucky. If he is having a meltdown or pitching a fit he's usually pretty quick to come out of it. Four years have gone by far too quickly.
